"30th Filipino Pilgrimage - Martyrs' Shrine in Midland, Ontario - 2010"

The 30th Filipino Pilgrimage at the Martyrs' Shine in Midland Ontario was a manifestation of God's providence. He willed the whole Filipino community to gather together in one Holy place. We give thanks and praise to our Almighty and Eternal God for He had allowed, the spirit of unity to all Filipinos working together for the common good. We thank the intercession of our mother Mary, San Lorenzo Ruiz, our first Saint and Blessed Pedro Calungsod, the patron saint of the youth. It started with a living Rosary followed by the Praise and Worship of all Canadian Catholic Charismatic prayer communities. The Holy mass was held at the Papal Altar. It was presided by Fr. Ben Ebcas Jr. and concelebrated by Fr. Lorenzo Salandanan, Fr. Al Alilio and 2 non-Filipino priests. Deacons Bob Rosales and Alex Masongsong assisted in the liturgical mass. The program was beautifully executed during the procession for it was the longest ever held in the history of the Shrine. Our blessed martyrs set an example to us for it was the grace of God to conduct ourselves as a true Christians. Fr. Ben Ebcas, Jr. reiterated the need to take care of one another as a true value of Filipinos. View fotos during the Holy Mass here. View fotos during the Procession here.
