"FCCCPC - A Tribute to Christian Martyrs"

Filipino Canadian Catholic Charismatic Prayer Communities

Ordinary people become saints by determining each day to live for God. God says these people are his true saints, and he takes pleasure in them. It is not what you do that makes you a Saint in God's eyes, it's who you are - a child of God committed to doing right and serving him.

The Church this year celebrates the 365th anniversary of the deaths of those whom we refer to today as the Canadian or North American Martyrs (1649-2014). We from the Filipino Canadian Catholic Charismatic Prayer Communities would like to commend our Jesuit Fathers Jean de Brebeuf, Antoine Daniel, Gabriel Lalemant, Charles Garnier and Nodl Chabanel, who died on what is now Canadian soil in the region of Midland, Ontario; together with Jesuit Father Isaac Jogues and two donnes or lay volunteer workers, Rene Goupil and Jean de La Lande, who died in what is today the United States, in the region of Auriesville, New York.

We also offer our thanks to our Filipino Saints, Blessed, and Servants of God recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. They gave their lives to our Lord Jesus Christ. St. Lorenzo Ruiz and St. Pedro Calungsod, pray for us.
